Benefits

Weekly Direct Deposit Paycheck

Your pay goes into your bank account every Friday morning. No waiting two weeks, no trips to the bank, no exceptions.

Health and Life Insurance

We pay 55% of our company-provided health insurance plans. We also offer dental and vision and every employee is enrolled for fully-subsidized life insurance.

Company-matching 401(k)

We match up to 3% of your paycheck when contributing to our 401(k) so you can make a good retirement a reality.

Paid Holidays and Vacation

Every employee gets six paid holidays each year and people who stick with Bellwether become eligible for additional paid vacation time.

Advancement Opportunities

Logging is a rewarding, high skill job. We want to give our team the opportunities, coaching, and mentorship to be successful. We’re always trying to cross-train our people to add valuable skills.

Just because you start on one path doesn’t mean you’re limited. Truckers can become loggers (and vice versa) with different entry points based on ability.

Why South Carolina?

Low Cost of Living

The median home cost in South Carolina is 26% less than the national average. SC has a low 6% sales tax and income tax credits for motor fuel consumption, dependents, and two-wage households.

Terrain & Activities for Everyone

South Carolina has a little bit of everything. No matter how you like to spend your free time, SC has something to offer, from mountains and beaches to plenty of hunting and fishing grounds all around the state.

A Healthy Place to Log

South Carolina has as many wood-consuming markets as any state in the country and Bellwether ships to over 40 of them. From domestic mills to export markets and producing lumber, OSB, corrugate, paper and biomass, there is no more secure place to log.
